Douglas R. Moore, P.E., President
Doug is an accomplished entrepreneur who has led the growth and success of R.T. Moore since purchasing the company from his father (and founder) in 1985. Doug grew up in
the business literally learning it from the ground up. Starting with doing field installations in the 1970’s, Doug also worked in estimating and design as well as
Vice-President of Operations in the early 1980’s. Since purchasing the company, Doug has served as President providing executive leadership in all aspects of the business as well as building a competent leadership team. R.T. Moore has experienced substantial growth, industry diversity, and business stability under Doug’s leadership.
A 1980 graduate of Purdue University, Doug earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering. He received his Professional Engineers stamp in 1986 and currently holds PE certificates in three states. Doug also maintains plumbing and HVAC master and contractors licenses in fifteen states.
John O. Bennett, Vice-President of Sales and Estimating
John’s technical expertise in HVAC systems, business analysis, estimating, and LEED AP certification provide a solid foundation for technical leadership at R.T. Moore.
John spent his first 6 years after college working for General Motors as a process development engineer in their electronics division. He then moved into operations and
was working as an operations manager when he left GM to join R.T. Moore in 1992. John currently leads the residential estimating and CAD engineering departments for R.T.
Moore as well as focuses on Business Development. Earlier in his career at R.T. Moore John was instrumental in developing and successfully launching the HVAC division of
R.T. Moore as a compliment to the plumbing division.
John graduated from Purdue University in 1982, earning a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology. He received his MBA from Indiana Wesleyan University in 1986.
Thomas C. Reynolds, CPA, Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer
Tom’s expertise in all aspects of financial management and accounting play a strategic role at R.T. Moore. Tom spent seven years in public accounting specializing in
banking and real estate providing auditing, tax and consulting services working both in the
Chicago financial district as well as with a large regional accounting firm in Indianapolis, George S. Olive & Co., CPAs. Following public practice, Tom gained unique
experience in two other privately owned growing businesses that engaged in providing services nationwide before joining R.T. Moore in 2000 as the controller as well as
leading the accounting function. In addition to these responsibilities, Tom also provides executive leadership within R.T. Moore’s Purchasing and Warehousing operations.
Tom earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from the Indiana University School of Business in 1983. His CPA license was issued by the Indiana State Board of Accountancy in 1987.
Bob Kehlor, Operations & Supply Chain Management
Bob is a proven authority in applying lean manufacturing and supply chain management disciplines within the construction industry. Bob spent the first 10 years of his
career with IBM in the information technology industry where he worked with Fortune 500 companies to develop solutions to meet their technology needs. Bob left the
technology arena and entered the construction industry where he now has over 17 years of experience in leading the development and implementation of strategies within
multiple residential building operations that have resulted in significant reductions in waste as well as decreases in direct labor and material costs. Bob architected and led the development and implementation of Field Management System, an integrated software solution for the homebuilding industry that automates production scheduling,
quality control, and variance cost management for the field staff. Bob is also owner of Axius Solutions, LLC where he provides formal training in conflict management and
negotiation as well as consulting services to select clients in the homebuilding industry. As Vice-President of Operations and Supply Chain at R.T. Moore, Bob’s focus is
in reducing material and overhead costs, reducing waste, and increasing quality by streamlining internal business processes and optimizing supply chain strategies.
Bob is a graduate of Purdue University where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering in 1983.
Littlejoe Hayes, Division Manager - Indiana
Littlejoe’s unique combination of plumbing system installation expertise and leadership ability has been critical to him developing the Indiana division into a highly
successful business unit for R.T. Moore. Through Littlejoe’s leadership, R.T. Moore became one of only 13 plumbing contractors nationwide who have achieved certification
in the National Association of Home Builders NHQ Certified Trade Partner Program in 2007. Littlejoe has applied these principles in the Indiana division to achieve his
primary charters of meeting operating budget, increasing quality, and improving operational efficiency. Over the first three years of the NHQ program implementation, the
Indiana residential plumbing team reduced rework costs by 80%. Littlejoe has also established himself as a valuable asset to R.T. Moore’s residential customers by sharing
quality performance and defect data directly with their top leadership to help them improve their operations. Littlejoe’s leadership abilities became evident shortly after joining R.T. Moore in May, 1994. He was promoted to crew leader in just over 1 year after proving his talents in residential production housing and moving to custom
housing where he refined his plumbing skills. After obtaining his Journeyman’s license he was subsequently promoted to Field Superintendent in 1998. Today Division
Manager for Indiana, Littlejoe provides functional leadership for several business functions including residential new construction plumbing, water & sewer, customer
service, and warehouse operations.
LittleJoe received his apprenticeship license with the state of Indiana in 1994 and attended the Bureau of Apprenticeship Training accredited four year plumbing program, Mechanical Skills. After graduating the program in 1998, LittleJoe obtained his Plumbing Journeyman’s license from the State of Indiana.
Scott Holcomb, Division Manager - Florida
Scott’s entrepreneurial spirit he developed in the food services industry has served him well as Division Manager for the R.T. Moore company in Florida. Scott’s
professional development began when he worked for the Marriott Corporation in their management development for 5 years. Scott then moved to United Brokers Corporation
working in food services. Scott’s efforts were quickly recognized and rewarded. He eventually moved to Vice President of Food Services and became a managing partner in
1986. In 1990 Scott purchased the Maxim Marketing, the food service division of United Brokers where he grew his organization from a sales force of 10 to 25 with over $30
million in sales. Scott’s career continued to advance in 1999 when he became a stock holder in a group that purchased Emge Foods from Cargill and became the operating
president in 2000. In this role, Scott managed a manufacturing plant, 2 warehouses, and a distribution network that covered a geography that spanned between Texas and the
east coast. By 2004 Scott had sold his interest in Maxim Marketing and Emge Foods. He joined R.T. Moore as their Florida Division Manager where his entrepreneurial skills have helped him develop a profitable organization of solid team members despite unprecedented challenges in Florida’s residential homebuilding market.
Scott attended Indiana University where he studied Business.
